That 12th round reminded me of when Drago finally decided to let his hands go against Apollo....

It's pretty astounding to fight for that long and never get stopped.

Does Ali and Robinson quitting in the corner/corner stoppage count?

Other than that some names you can add alongside Hopkins:

          Charley Burley, Hagler, and Monzon....

James Toney went up to HW and was never stopped.

Toney absorbs the blows with all that fat from Burger King.

But i wonder did Kovalev really try his best to stop BH. Because subconsciously when you are so far ahead and you are fighting a old boxer, you take it easy on them, similar to ALi vs Berbick and Holmes.

Kovalev was probably fighting his hero.
Not to mention this is a guy who already has the death of 1 fighter on his conscience. That has to weigh heavily on him. If I was Kovalev, I would be trying NOT to do serious damage on someone like Hopkins, but that tongue really did piss him off!

Well since kovalev killed a guy before, one would think it crept into his conscience this time around.....i also slighty think (i may be alone in this) that a few of those hopkins shots stunned him and that may also play into him picking his shots.....his chin seemed a bit suspect to me
