You can call me crazy but I think there is a good chance that if the Stevenson happens, there is a good chance that Kovalev walks onto a bomb early in the fight, and based on little tell tale signs I think his punch reisistance could be very average. I also think this is possible against Pascal who is very sturdy and throws fast hard punches, and sometimes unpredictable swings which can take fighters out, even Froch, although I'd favour Kovalev in those last two fights.
Kovalev bombs Stevenson out in less than 5. Easy. Not only is he much better, he holds a major mental edge in the sense that Stevenson is scared ****less of Kovalev.

As usual, every time a good puncher wins a fight, the experts on this message board will start proclaiming that he is unbeatable and would KO anyone who has ever fought in the history of boxing.
Kovalev fought a great fight against Hopkins. However, he demonstrated that he can be hit and can be hurt. Hopkins hurt him several times, including in the 12th round, but Hopkins never followed up. I think a fight against Stevenson would be a 50/50 fight because of the power that both of them have. I think Ward would dominate him and possibly KO him the way Ward did against Dawson.

Kov doesn't have great defense but he's a good counter puncher for a front foot fighter. I think that's going to discourage a lot of people from going after him.

So you think Ward will end up fighting weight drained Kov at 168?
