I don't think Kovalev makes it to Ward

Everyone is talking about the Ward fight, which I admit is a dream fight, but he has some dangerous fights before that fight will present itself.

You can call me crazy but I think there is a good chance that if the Stevenson happens, there is a good chance that Kovalev walks onto a bomb early in the fight, and based on little tell tale signs I think his punch reisistance could be very average. I also think this is possible against Pascal who is very sturdy and throws fast hard punches, and sometimes unpredictable swings which can take fighters out, even Froch, although I'd favour Kovalev in those last two fights.

Stevenson is terrified of Kovalev, they won't ever fight.why you think he ran into Al's arms and shout at top of his voice 'hold me' ?

    Hopkins beats Stevenson.

Ward is the logical fight for Kovalev next,or maybe Kessler if he can't get the best to face him.catchweight against Ward sounds the most appealing though, but I expect Ward to run into Al's arms too.

Aducknis ran even though he was going to get the majority of the purse yet you still want to support him. Sickening.

I've been saying it for a while, Stevenson beats Kov, although the Russian hits harder his punch resistance is worse and he is far slower. Pascal v Kov would be a great fight but I doubt it happens.

The proper edit should have been: "I don't think Ward makes it to Kovalev"...

Stevenson got KO'd from Boone, not just dropped, KO'd.

Stevenson may have the tools physically to beat Kov, but mentally he is terrified. . . I'd have to go with Kov in that one. (Doubtful they'll ever meet)
Stevenson might be quicker, but we saw last night how good Kov's timing is, and his ability to control range

Besides, I haven't seen Ward make it to the ring himself

Pretty much what I was going to write. Kovalev showed us a whole other side to himself last night, he isn't just a big puncher. I agree with you.

As far as Ward and Kovalev I also agree with previous posts, I do not think Kov/Ward happens, much as I do not think Kov/Stevenson happens (anytime soon anyway) but if they ever do I think Kovalev should be taken with a lot more serious thought than he previously was after showing us a different side too his game.

I hope Kovalev vs Stevenson does happen however, would be great to see Kovalev hold all four belts.
