I think Kovalev ,mops the floor with Ward after reviewing his past tape and yesterdays fight which catapulted him to the elite level.....But in the same instance one has to question the performance because of Hopkins age; it wasn't too many fights ago where BHOP was faking low blows trying to buy time vs a super shot Roy, and looking for quit jobs vs mentally headcases like Dawson. Unfortunately for Kovalev people will pay more attention and analyze the smoke and mirrors BHOP has been, he already has been figured damn near a decade ago by a b class Taylor, the only reason Hopkins was able to linger around is because of how the skill level has depreciated in the game, even Roy is back looking good now................

Although I went to sleep sad, Im glad kind of too Bhop took a lose had he won his legacy would have been inflated to the moon when he spent his whole career facing bum after bum, then went on a WW/JWW campaign; not to mention he openly ducked a prime Roy rematch on live HBO; only for him to get his politician /con man on later in his career when the skill level has died down acting like he wanted to fight the best, but what about Roy and 60/40, what about a Toney match............This loss puts his legacy in perspective

The sad part is Kovalev really cant prove himself after this Ward and Superman will continue dukking, he may have to move up.............

        Hopkins beats Stevenson.

Ward is the logical fight for Kovalev next,or maybe Kessler if he can't get the best to face him.catchweight against Ward sounds the most appealing though, but I expect Ward to run into Al's arms too.
u know just because he ran to haymon dont mean he did it to duck kovolav tho it did seem that way i still dont think thats why he did it

Kovalev fought a great fight against Hopkins. However, he demonstrated that he can be hit and can be hurt. Hopkins hurt him several times, including in the 12th round, but Hopkins never followed up. I think a fight against Stevenson would be a 50/50 fight because of the power that both of them have. I think Ward would dominate him and possibly KO him the way Ward did against Dawson.
          Idiot. "peeleft:

I agree that those other fights will be good and competitive, but as far as 'making it to Ward'...I don't get that. He's irrelevant at the moment.

sure it is. he didn't fight hopkins, kovalev, or pascal. he's fighting sukhotsky. he wanted easy fights and that's haymon's speciality. overpaying guys for easy fights.

I genuinely do not see anyone stopping Kovalev in his tracks. Whether it's Adonis, Pascal or Ward.

yeah making it to ward makes no sense. ward is no one to make it to. he won't even be ranked next week and even when he was ranked he was ducking and dodging guys like bute and stevenson so i see nothing that would suggest he would fight kovalev.

These are all good fights that I want to see. Also I'd offer up Andre Dirrell as an interesting fight too. not mention Beterbeiv but he's hasn't been around long. Also El Don Savigne, big puncher
