it really doesn't matter. there's only so much a trainor can do anyway. im sure Jackson will tell kovalev the right things but it all depends on just how good kovalev can execute. personally,,,I like kovalev,,,,hes powerful and a descent boxer but I don't think he's exceptionally good or quick and hops may have the style to spoil it. ugly close md win for Hopkins is my call but I hope im wrong. we need a young lion that brings excitement unlike hopkins

And then we have the old blowhard here trying to make it sound like Jackson isn't a good trainer, when Jackson has easily as much success training fighters as Naazim.

I like Hopkins' fighting style in the ring, that is when he isn't doing his famous punch N grab b.s. But damn, with him endlessly blabbering away like he keeps doing more and more as time goes by, I am now 100% ready for Kov to punch his feking lights out later tonight.

Dude, they are nowhere near each other in anything related to boxing. Bernard is an all-time great, Kahn is a fart in the wind no one will remember. Bernard has the greatest longevity ever and its not close. Bernard is a top 5 middleweight of all-time. Kahn is a joke. All that being said, yes Bernard still gets on my nerves when he talks, but Kahn should never talk, should never open his mouth. He still has a lot to prove. Bernard has nothing left to prove. He's a made man, and he has way more of a right to talk about what he's going to do then sorry Kahn.

What Bernard is doing is unprecedented. Kahn has literally done nothing memorable his whole career. Bernard was the only person to be competitive with a young Roy Jones. Kahn has been knocked out by a bum.

Its almost like comparing vomit to gold.

I don't think Jackson is that great of a trainer either but the logic Hopkins is using -- that he can't be a good trainer because he wasn't an elite fighter -- is pretty dumb considering Hopkins called Roach the best trainer ever.

Just because someone can't do something himself doesn't mean he can't teach someone else to do it.

Hopkins is a dip****. He used Jackson himself and was happy with him. As for their fight in 1997? Jackson was coming off a loss to a 9-6 fighter and was badly faded. Shouldn't have even gotten that fight but that it typical of Nard to grab a diminished guy. Now he tries to put his convoluted logic int o that result? What a complete AssHat.

Yes, like I said, I like the old guy, he is talented definitely... but do you mean to say you don't think his ego is as big if not bigger than Khan's? Or is Khan absolutely nothing in your mind?

Hopkins is off base here... u dont have be talented at the highest level to be a good trainer or coach... some of the best nba coaches were average players and the goat players were garbage coaches.

Naazim has trained or asst trained BHop and Mosely, Yusef Mack and Steve Cunningham plus a few others I can't remember. Jackson has trained BHop and Mosely also, plus Kov, Nate Campbell, and some others I forget also. So what's the difference? Subtle difference if any.
