again, you're repeating things out of Hopkins mouth (studying all the tapes, I know how this man sleeps, etc.) you need a mind of your own.

Dawson, much longer reach and a southpaw, but still fights from the outside.
Kovalev is an outside fighter first. He doesn't rush in like a bull.

Calzaghe, quick hands to go with his high stamina, high volume work rate.
Kovalev is a very busy fighter. His stamina is questionable since he has yet to fight beyond 8 rounds. So yes, he does fight a little like both of those men. The bonus is that he has knockout power that neither of those guys had.

Pavlik is more of the one-dimensional puncher with power that many are comparing Kovalev too. I think they are way off on that mark.

Pascal has talent. For anyone saying that you can't just bull rush your way in on Hopkins you must replay the first few rounds of Pascal vs Hopkins I and you'll see his movement and heavy hands were very effective.

All I can say about Kovalev is that if he's attacking you on the ropes you can counter him. You'll get hit in return but it's possible to hit him flush from that defensive position. Sillakh and Cleverly have really good hand speed and long reach and they were both able to tag Kovalev with solid jabs. That was before they were lookin up at the lights, but hey, if all else fails...step on his lead foot and then punch him like Caparello did (a bit of a Marquez style shot) and also make sure to get the head involved. Kovalev looked bothered by the cut Agnew gave him with that hard head. Hopkins has a big ol' head to use. Hate to see that being his only main weapon though.

Everyone is so quick to write off Hopkins its insane! All because this Kovalev guy made a career off of knocking out bums in the 2nd and 3rd round. The most noteworthy guy Kovalev has fought is Cleverly, other than that, he's beat no one. Kovalev severely lacks the professional experience to win, he's jumping up 3 or 4 levels of class to fight Hopkins. The fact that he's only seen the 8th round once is a clear indication, at least to me, that he might have conditioning problems if taken into deep rounds. What you need to beat Hopkins is speed. Hopkins doesn't handle fast hands too well. If Kovalev doesn't have lighting fast hands, he's gonna lose.

Knocking out cab drivers is different than knocking out an elite fighter? The only way Hopkins loses Saturday is if B Hop's biological clock runs out...any other reason is absurd..there is levels to this and you will be reminded once again Saturday night...Love him or hate him....easy win for B Hop.
i dont know if this is the case my man, like GGG, this dude seems legit...

All ima say is that there seems to be allot of European heavyhanded fighters now, i suspect P.E D's...

Last time fighting at this stage for Hopkins. He won't see the final bell.

          Enjoy your retirement champ.

Win or lose, people should be praising this man for risking his life to make boxing history, for his resilience, courage, and grit. We will be talking about Hopkins for the ages, how he challenged a prime young krusher at 50 when nobody else wanted you. And he does not even have to do this, he is not old and bankrupt the way Joe Louis was when he took on a prime Marciano. This is for Glory.

Glad Kovalev's coming out party is with a legend (but the critics won't ever stop)
Silakh was never meant to school Kovalev. The guy was a massive underdog and rightly so. I don't remember anyone giving him much of a chance at all. The best I remember people saying was that he'd make Kovalev look ****** for a bit before getting cleaned up and taken out. Even that didn't happen though. Not close to Kovs level.

Not sure how bankrupt Louis was given that he had 8 fights, all wins, in the year leading up to that fight. Hopkins is also more than 12 years older than that Louis. Pretty phenomenal when you think about it.

so with all the pre-fight hoopla over now, the only thing left is the fight....

still cant believe hopkins is a mere 2 months seperated from hitting 50 years of age.
