Well said. But idk about shockingly since kov is the favorite going into the fight which I found surprisingThis fight doesn't take anything away from B-Hops career, he still has made a significant mark in the sport. However, it is time for the younger warriors to take over and as is the case, they have to take over at the expense of the previous generation.
Kovalev will win this fight shockingly and usher in a new LHW era.

Ok, but the difference is that calzaghe and dawson are masterful boxers and b-hop has a tendency to get outboxed at times... kova is the total opposite, he is a straight ahead fighter with limited movement whos looking to knock you out with every big punch thrown.. hopkins has field days with fighters of kovas style....tito, joppy, pavlik, tarver ect...its true, its damn true!Comment

HAha, I'm just messing with you man. I'm pulling for the old man to do it (and I think he will) but should Kova win, I have no problems with that. The guy IS a monster...I just think it would be an incredible feat for Hopkins to win given his age.

You are prolly right, I just thought it was funny how Kova was making jokes about not wanting to look BHOP in the eyes. I knew I could probably get a rise out of someone by saying he looked intimidated or maybe even get a little fight started. It's always fun to get your troll on right before a big fight like this. Well, not such a big fight except for people on boxingscene but still.Comment

Crazy how some people are discounting B-Hop, more specifically the manner in which they're doing so. Love him or hate him, the man is a legend in the ring and he deserves respect.
The fact that Hopkins chose this fight is not insignificant. Barring a KO defeat, he has nothing to lose. If he does, its because he's old. That's not an excuse, it's just a fact - no one could seriously argue that a younger Hopkins would not be a favourite against Kovalev. The point is though that picking this fight was about legacy. Can a near-50 year old man beat one of the most feared men in boxing? That's the ultimate motivation for a man who's as egotistical as Hopkins is.
Couple the above with the fact that stylistically, Hopkins is a nightmare for a guy like Kovalev, and you shouldn't be too surprised if Hopkins puts on one of his trademark schooling sessions.Comment

literally zero chance? Come on breh, this isn't Rod Salka were talking about here, this is a legendary hall of fame fighter.Hopkins literally has 0% chance tomorrow night and I have great respect for Hopkins.
After the fight, blind delusional haters are going to be looking for answers all night. We're going to see posts by confused guys all night similar to:
"What round does prime Hopkins beat Kovalev?"
"Bernard Hopkins is simply too old"
"Why didn't Kovalev KO an old man in round 1"
"Andre Ward outclasses the basic Kovalev" (this one would especially create laughs.)
"Why is GGG ducking Ward?" (lol)
As good as Kovalev is, there is still a lot of unknown. We've never seen him in the ring with anyone even 50% as talented as Hopkins. We don't know what happens if he gets taken into deep waters. We don't know how he handles adversity. We don't know a lot. On the other hand, we know Hopkins has beat hall of famers. We know he's beat big punchers before. We know he has the experience and great ring IQ.
so "literally zero chance" , no way. That's why the odds are only 2-1 in Kovalev's favor.Comment
