Comments Thread For: Victor Ortiz Wants Revenge - Starting With Maidana

Former WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz (29-5-2, 22KOs) is back for revenge. Ortiz has lost his last three, all inside the distance, and hasn't won a fight since 2011. Ortiz is still only 27-years-old and believes there is more than enough time to rebuild his career.

Ortiz was knocked out in four round by Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2011. The following year he was up on the cards, but couldn't continue past nine after suffering a broken jaw at the hands of Josesito Lopez.

The jaw injury took a long time to heal. He returned in January of this year and was knocked out in two by Luis Collazo.

Make it happen I'd love to see Maidana beat the hell out of him again.

          I bet he quits again.

He has an acting career long as he wants it. Obviously not a big star, but so what. Not all actors are the huge star. As for boxing, he still beats most of the top guys in his division. All he has to do is not tense up like he does sometimes... loosen up and let it flow. That's when he's been his best.

would love to see this. but there is no upside that would benefit maidana. he wont get mayweather money, so it dont make sense or dollars to have this fight at this point in time.
