Are you bleeding serious? Where do you so called boxing fans come from with this hate for Hopkins? A younger Hopkins would mortify Kovalev and he may still do it. You are talking about one of the greatest middleweights of all time.

BHop was not an ATG middleweight. He's come to be viewed as one by some people because of his extraordinary longevity as top class fighter, but don't start rewriting history.

Lets be real here....If Kovalev was from Mexico/Inner City Baltimore he would be getting maybe 1/3rd the "interweb" hype he is getting right now....

I don't know what game Bradley is playing suggesting that Hopkins is his pick against Kovalev, but Bradley's pick cannot taken be seriously by any student of boxing. Hopkins not only will lose this coming Saturday, but short of dumb luck Hopkins would also have lost against Kovalev at any other stage of his career. To Sergey Kovalev Bernard Hopkins is no more than so many potatoes to be distilled into vodka.

It's just the blatant double standard that annoys me.

GGG can fight 58 bums in a row until he is age 35 and no one says anything....

Anthony Joshua has EIGHT pro fights and people are already whining all over his youtube videos that he needs to step it up and stop fighting bums.....

Same goes for Kovalev and Deontay Wilder....Both have fought nothing but B level fighters and Bums, yet Kovalev is seen as "something special" where as everyone whines 24/7 about Wilder not fighting anyone good.

The double standard is immense.

Prime Hopkins wouldn't even have to train and he would still beat Kovalev...He could come off a month long vacation to Spain and come back and fight the next night and still beat Sergey.

I watched all of Kovalev videos trying and was hoping to find something special about him and I didn't....I think his fan boys are just delusional and seeing things in him that aren't there...Plus they ignore his weak resume and make it seem like he's very accomplished....

I absolutely can't stand Hopkins are a person, but lets be real here....He's a far far far better fighter than Sergey is even if he's a bad person...He may loose simply because he is 50 years old, but a prime Hopkins would absolutely embarrass Kovalev...

I got hopkins by wide decision too and after it kovalev will become just this face first brawler, watch...and it's partly true, maybe not a face firsf but he is a brawler... even if sk wins, he will not get credit so he got more to lose in this fight...this could be a case similar to nonito vs walters where bhop just could not handle the power of a kovalev... bhop ud, rooting for kovalev...

Kovalev is going to get masterclassed. Kovalev got knocked down by a guy with 6 KO's. I would not be surprised if Hopkins drops Kovalev.
