How do you know. kovalevs career could be an amazing one yet, and one of the best light heavyweights that ever laced them up. on the november the 8th hes fighting a man, that any boxer in history would have trouble with. and sergey could destroy him in quick fashion. so. plz.

Well what you've said is still a far cry from asserting that Kovalev would defetat B Hopkins at any stage of his career. That is non sense. He is what you say, a very good light heavy weight, but no BHOP. The rest remains to be seen.

Prime Krusher is what exactly , a guy that beat a bunch of nobodys , he looked flawed against the aussie kid , this is another level of boxing , a level Kov has not been within cooee of .

In my opinion Sergey Kovalev beats everyone at 175lb that hopkins has, including joe calzaghe, and chad dawson, pascal let alone those recent guys who i had no time for shumenov and murat. so all im saying is hopkins 175lb run is very good, but its also a run sergey kovalev would of passed and with more distinction. an atg 160lber vs 175lber killer with a bright future. you cant say hopkins would of mortified him.

longtime fan of B-Hop, but it's a lose/lose situation for both fighters in terms of who's going to get all the props going forward. B-Hop wins and everyone will say Kovalev was never that good. Kovalev wins and all of a sudden Hopkins is too old. People hate on both sides here. I just have Kovalev winning this one since I have yet to see any real weaknesses in his game that would cause him to lose. Hopkins is not a one punch knock out artist like Stevenson. Stevenson, IMO, was more of a 50/50 fight just because the first exchanges would be very unpredictable. Hopkins could very well school Kovalev but I find it very unlikely given Kovalev's history in the sport. Like I said earlier, I feel Hopkins can be a spoiler. He has spoiled many moments in big fights and that is the reasoning behind the hate for the man. Plus when he loses, he can never give his opponent credit, and neither do any of his fan boys. No one is saying he is not a Living Legend, but I swear if Kovalev is cut from a head butt in this fight it will not be an accident. If there is a moment B-Hop falls to the ground and cries to the ref for any reason beyond getting fouled it really makes the case for being an alien, or in his words "an athlete that needs his own category" because he's not human something to cringe at. I agree with Kovalev's latest statement in that he wants a clean fight with a clean victory. I for one, don't see it playing out very well for the old Legend.

and for those making idiotic comments about the Caparello knockdown, in which Blake stepped on Sergey's foot, you are all really reaching. This shows the hate that you have for this man. That's some pretty petty BS. It's like picking apart Floyd over the round Sugar Shane got a couple of right hands on him. B-Hop had a great run. He is still better than most of these guys, but he refused a fight with Andre Ward. ?????? So now that he has already opened his mouth about the Russian a couple years back, and lied about Kovalev ducking him...he knows those of us that have been paying attention would lose some respect for the man if he continued to ignore Kovalev the way Stevenson has. So he made a brilliant chess move and did something everyone in boxing can get behind Win or Lose. No shame to lose to the Krusher at this point in his career

                Kovalev by TKO.

Age is not an alien concept.
Chad Dawson made Bernard quit the first time out and ruled over him in the return.
His last two outings were against fighters made for him.
This is a fight he had to take or face a mandatory.
49 plus is simply too old to absorb what the powerful Russian will certainly land to the body and head.
The Hopkins hope is that he takes him beyond 8 and that Sergei fades away.
                That's a big wish.
The Krusher's power will still be there after 24 minutes in the fight of his life.

Kovalev has got this one. BH cant spring the suprise of being better than people expected now. Kovalev is expecting a young BH, and he has studied BH so knows what to expect.
BUt BH will give Kovalev a tough fight with experience alone, so you cant really call BH a loser.
He dared take the fight everyone said hed duck, whilst a guy who is supposedly no1 p4p couldn't take on the equivalent of kovalev in GGG.

Devastating against a guy so out classed and so much smaller , thats the bit you dont recognize you just see the bash , the difference here is it is on such a higher standard of boxing skill and ring generalship , Bhop is near 50 its expected that Kov run him over , but you can never underestimate the capability of the science in boxing , Kov has shown flaws against opponents way below Hopkins .

Bradley is pretty good with his predictions, but I just don't know about this fight. I'm very nervous for Hopkins as a big fan of his honestly.
