Lara was not serious he was just trying to get publicity.

"Managing Director of K2 Promotions Tom Loeffler, who handles Golovkin, had this to say on the matter, via Boxing Scene's Jake Donovan:

"It's well known that Gennady Golovkin - when he fights in the United States - is under exclusive contract with HBO. Lara is with Golden Boy and fights on Showtime. So while he is a great fighter for whom we have a tremendous amount of respect, the bottom line is that HBO is our biggest strategic partner and it's up to his promoter to get him accepted by HBO.

"The strange thing is that his name really never came up. His insistence took us by surprise. It's not that Gennady doesn't want to fight him - he'll fight anyone and continues to prove that. But we were looking at fighters who we know can and will fight on HBO."
    "

Lara and his promoter did not do jack **** to make the fight after Loeffler called Lara's bluff.

I say give Mora the fight. They're going to fight 4 times a year, after Murray if they don't get Canelo or Cotto how about Sergio Mora? He's got a decent name.

No, I believe he's loyal to the person who brought him to the top of boxing - and shows that loyalty be re-signing with Arum, someone who has got him close to every fight he's ever really needed besides Mayweather.

You know the Arum excuse is a cop-out, why do you seem to be claiming any different? Arum has publicly said multiple times he's willing to discuss making the fight happen, when has Mayweather even extended an olive branch besides "sign to TMT and you "might" get the fight, but you gotta fight for me a few times first". How exactly would a different promoter help that whatsoever? Is it not clear to you that when a road block gets crushed he puts up another one?

I really don't understand your view point, whatsoever. How big you are doesn't matter with Mayweather. Do you think he gives a crap? You are saying because Pacquaio is a star he should jump through Mayweathers hoops like a dog, even though there is still no promise the fight would get made and you know it.

As a final note - how can you even criticize Pacquaio for being tired of attempting to work with Mayweather? Ridiculous demands, steroid criticism, constant insults and racial slurs, lies, Instagram and Twitter pot-shots, two-faced comments and the downright ******ity of a 12 year old, yet somehow Pacquaio takes equal blame near the end of all this simply because he refuses to be a total slave to Mayweather? I think it's silly to ignore everything that happened previously and put them on equal ground just because for the last 5% of their 'race' together Pacquaio doesn't want to waste time exercising the demands of an elementary grade moron. Again, I think you're just angry at both for the fight not being made. I mean heck, where is your proof that Arum isn't willing? You're just speculating.

Korobov-Lee winner is a much better fight to be made.

I'd be down with the winner of Korobov-Lee winner or Quillen, Jacobs, Lemieux while we wait on Cotto-Canelo. Mora? pass...

I kind of agree with Mora's sentiment, but GGG simply hasn't had to fight slicksters/movers because they are pretty much nonexistent at the top. Lara and Mora are also signed with Haymon, so those match-ups become unlikely. Andrade is the only slickster/mover available.

Like with any "boogeyman", potential opponents are waiting for signs of weakness and they also want to be compensated well for the ass whupping. Based on his tweet, it seems like Mora could've fought 3G in his HBO debut. Now that he's with Haymon, Mora will be used as a stepping stone for Jacobs or Quillin.
