Because no fighter, however good they once were, can go from being 'shot' to suddenly being back to their best and recover from all previous beatings at the age of 34.

Cotto was once a great fighter but lets not put things out of context. After he lost to Trout he was called shot by everyone, beats 5-4-1 in his last 10 fights Delvin and all of a sudden he's a 'new fighter' under trainer Roachie Fred. Then he finished what MARTIN MURRAY started 15 months earlier, beating Martinez.

Canelo is prime, hasn't taken the physical and mental beatings that Cotto has in his great career and doesn't have the knees of an 86 year old. He is also probably bigger than Cotto even though he would be the one moving up in weight.

Once Canelo starts landing on Cotto his face will severly swell and he might get a cut or two along the way. Being the brave warrior that he is i'm sure he'll keep going but this is the changing of the guard... to CANELO!

Judah? and dont forget that when the reports came out about martinez's knee, his knee was completely fine, no swelling tears or nothing. Oh he did have a severe concussion and a broken nose. So you can take your fairy tale theories somewhere else.
Hey man lately Cotto has been facing injured dudes. Out of his last 7 fights, 3 were coming off an injury. If he fights Canelo, that would be 4 out of 8. That's a 50% ratio man. No way you can downplay that bro.

His knees were gone dude. Look at his movement from his previous fights. Add inactivity to that, it's a good opportunity. Top it off with a catch weight.

I know you're mad cause I'm talking about your god but relax bro, he's just a boxer.

Will deffo root for Canelo cause Cotto is overrated, the guy has lost everytime he's fought at top, now fought a Shot and Handicapped Martizez and getting hyped up like he's some monster or something.

        War Canelo.

Styles makes fights. The way cotto was fighting while with pedro diaz DID NOT FIT his style of fighting, which is an attacker with a killer left hook to the body, something that he has gotten away from since getting rid of his old trainer, his uncle. Pedro diaz was trying to turn him into a boxer, but hes more of a boxer/puncher than a boxer. Now he's with freddy roach, a trainer and coach that KNOWS what he is doing, and hes in better condition than what he was at 154 lbs. So no, its not far-fetched.

Ohhhhhh but you guys weren't complaining when he used Diaz for Margarito 2. You stans were like "Oh Diaz is a miracle worker!" among other exaggerated things.

Freddy Roach is overrated/overhyped. I'm telling you, it's not Roach that people should worry about, it should be the Strength and Conditioning Coach MacMillan.

I dont get mad bro nice try to twist it. Again, you are assuming that cotto knew in advance that canelo was gonna injure his ankle... ok sure.... Also, I will take a proffesionals statement who SAW the mri over your biased opinions any day. Also, if his knees were "bad", he wouldn't have dashed accross the ring near the end of the 6th round to try and sneak cotto.

I never said that khan DOESNT beat him cuz of the style matchups, Im saying that khan doesn't have the chin to hold up to top opposition. He makes eric crumble's chin look like iron.

It's not a nice twist, it's reality. Don't get mad about it. If Cotto fights Canelo that will be a 50% ratio man. There is no way to sugar coat that. To me that's not a warrior, that's an opportunist.

You still don't get it don't you. Look at his spaghetti legs at the start and look how strong they look in other fights. Even Cotto's team on the 24/7 knew about his knees and also knew something was wrong with them.
