Comments Thread For: Malik Scott Cruises Past Alex Leapai To Revive Career

Malik Scott revived his career—and restored his credibility—with a dominant 10 round points win over Alex Leapai in their heavyweight clash Friday evening in New Zealand.

Scores were 100-90, 98-92 and 97-92 (according to BoxRec.com) in favor of the visiting American. The bout was not televised, which only adds to the confusion of the show being postponed by a week due to lack of TV rights for the originally scheduled October 24 date. [Click Here To Read More]

Don't laugh to soon. Now that Scott has regained some credibilty, if his good friend Deontay gets lucky against Stiverne it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Wilder vs Scott-2, this time for the WBC title.
Uncle Al would fix that one up easy.

I am on good terms with the WBO as they do have transparency, but this shows you how much of a farce forcing Klitschko to defend against Leapai was. Malik Scott barely broke a sweat and neither did Klitschko.

Not possible. No way Wladimir fights a bum. Never, I refuse to believe it. The unified heavyweight champ of the world would never fight anything other than the best opponents.

Where's the guy that said Leapai would dominate 70s HW's and compared him to Foreman?

He has to fight his mandatories too, and Leapai was one of them.

I think everyone could have guessed the outcome of this fight.

How zee Germans pay to watch Wlad fight these bums I'll never know.
