Yes Leapai is basically a crap fighter who lucked out by catching Boystov on a slump, but it's not like having a bad mandatory opponent is some new modern phenomenon.

Both sides take the extremes too far with Wladimir and I think we all know why that is.
no he didn't catch boystov in a slump. boystov is sh-it. he hasn't fought or beat anyone. why would he be good? he just went life and death with another journeyman.

Most Aussie fighters should stay in Australia doing club fights. Dib, Leapai, Caparello, long list goes on. They never seem to do well with top or close to top opposition. Will be interesting to see Scott's next move up.

Leapai is simply not that good. Another mediocre heavyweight in a very mediocre era for the division.

Chisora beat Scott so bad he's now fighting the same level of bums that Wlad usually fights - and not even on TV

                Lepai was the mandatory challenger.

Meanwhile, Wlad is fighting back-to-back top 3 HWs

Lepai is a nobody and basing the state of quality of the division off of him doesn't even make sense.

                  HW division is great.

                  Wlad, Povetkin, Jennings, Pulev, Joshua

                  Scary talent there

Of course it makes sense. That nobody recently fought for the heavyweight championship of the world.

Just face it, the division has been in a sorry state for a while.

There are some young guys coming up that do provide some hope for the future like Fury, Jennings, Joshua, Wilder and Parker but those guys haven't really accomplished anything yet. It's all potential at this point.

well,,,pulev,,,povekin and haye are all very good fighters so I don't fault wlad too much for taking a few soft touches in between. most champions have done the same in between tougher defenses
