Their plain jane doesn't appeal to the masses outside of a small demographic of hardcore fans.

Now if Rigo decided he was gonna beat a brawler, brawling, when he's a slickster. Watch how fast the tables turn for him. And watch how quick his fan base escalates.

It's not just about "winning" line he says. Not everyone who stinks up the joint is going to make 100mil like Mayweather. It's Rigo's duty to draw attention to himself, and it's his responsibility to entertain the people who come to see him. Otherwise he can keep "just winning" in a make shift ring in the confines of Cuba. Casuals who go to these events and spend a ****load of money on these events don't give a F if Rigo is "winning." They expect him to entertain or GTFO.

I will always remember the buildup to Floyd-DLH. They were interviewing a bunch of celebrities and one celeb, I forget whom, was saying "I just hope for 3 knockdowns and someone gets up and keeps on fighting." I thought to myself "This motha****a has never watched Floyd fight before smh." If you have a style like Rigo you have to SELL yourself, people will pay for what you do in the ring or how you draw attention to yourself out of it. Simple as that.

Marquez was also avoided throughout most of his FW because he didn't fight like a Mexican. He didn't sell so guys saw no need in fighting him.

Try explaining that to a ***** like Pigeons. He'll tell you that you don't know **** about boxing and never played a sport.

Marquez listened. He's never going back to 6 figure paydays. He's all about the KO win now.

Rigo doesn't have to change his style and he will be champ for a long time but don't expect to be rich though.

There is always one issue or another, we are winning.

If I were Mexican we wouldn't have these problems. Their boxing is hit me and be Hit. That's crazy. I hit and don't get hit. That's what it is all about, I beat you down and you don't hit me.... that's boxing.

It's a comlicated situation, like I said before, I try to do everything well. I don't know what the problem is.

You win and there is problems, imagine if you lose?"

                  WAR RIGO!!

Rigo needs to KO Caribe promotions because those guys have done actually nothing for Rigo.

Gamboa is fighting in 2 weeks, Lara in December and Rigo is still without a fight??? Rigo fought once in 2014 and he destroy the guy in 1. Get this man some fights

Rigo said " I beat you down and you don't touch me"... spoken like a boss... Mexican "warriors" don't want to get in the ring with him, it would hurt their "warrior marketability" lol...And to hell with HBO for what they did to Rigo... They'll put some 24/7 BS about a hockey team, give Bill freakin Maher his own show and platform for tired cringe-worthy ******* humor, air reruns of taxi-cab confessions and other garbage from whatever pit they rummage through.... But giving Rigo airtime... he's too boring... unreal.. And how many boxing fans are complicit in this..

It's not enough to be your own promoter or even have a big promotional company like Golden Boy... you'd have to own a freakin network... or else the trajectory of the sport will continue to be determined by businessmen and execs with their own vision that often runs completely contrary to the spirit of boxing.

It's not gonna change what he does predominantly well, just like it hasn't changed what Ward, Hopkins and Mayweather do predominantly well. I mean, even Hopkins who was well into his 40s took it to Tarver, Pavlik and Pascal once he dissected them and fatigue set in.

I believe Agbeko checked out, it's difficult to look good against an opponent who opts to do that but Agbeko had nothing else to offer. I really believe that with Rigondeaux's tools, he could have pressed him and put a serious hurtin'. Instead it was much of the same against a fighter who had nothing to offer.
