Rigondeaux: I beat you down and you don't touch me

"Did I do things wrong? No matter what I do you guys are going to talk. I don't know what the problem is with Cuban fighters. I don't know what it is.

There is always one issue or another, we are winning.

If I were Mexican we wouldn't have these problems. Their boxing is hit me and be Hit. That's crazy. I hit and don't get hit. That's what it is all about, I beat you down and you don't hit me.... that's boxing.

It's a comlicated situation, like I said before, I try to do everything well. I don't know what the problem is.

You win and there is problems, imagine if you lose?"

Outside of Mayweather, it's the boxers who are willing to give up their advantages inside the ring that earn peoples respect and their attention. Guys who are good, like Rigo, but stick to a script like Rigo, like Ward, like Klitschko, like Lara, etcetera: no matter how good they are, no one cares to watch them, outside of their cult following.

Their plain jane doesn't appeal to the masses outside of a small demographic of hardcore fans.

Now if Rigo decided he was gonna beat a brawler, brawling, when he's a slickster. Watch how fast the tables turn for him. And watch how quick his fan base escalates.

It's not just about "winning" line he says. Not everyone who stinks up the joint is going to make 100mil like Mayweather. It's Rigo's duty to draw attention to himself, and it's his responsibility to entertain the people who come to see him. Otherwise he can keep "just winning" in a make shift ring in the confines of Cuba. Casuals who go to these events and spend a ****load of money on these events don't give a F if Rigo is "winning." They expect him to entertain or GTFO.

See how quick this turns on you.
A guy as great as JLC is fighting for table scraps and is labeled a journeyman. That is a man involved in a massive fight, possibly fight of the decade! lol. I'd say Rigo has already surpassed Castillo's and Marquez' status as greats.

How can 1 love boxing and not like him because he's to good, that's crazy. If u were promoting him and wanted to see him in an exciting fight match him with exciting fighters like grandovich, and see how that goes

the problem is that if u continue to fight like that then stay in the AM, when people pay to see u they expect blood, sweat and tears, sad but thats the honest truth. most people dont pay to see a boxing display, most people pay because they want to see one guy knock the other guy out!

Rigo is right. Its about hit and dont been hit!

Why do I need to get hit in order to have a following, why do I have to give up my advantages like SeekDaGreat mentioned? Ubber bull chit! No.

If you step on the ring, you better be ready, you must be prepared. You are a professional, now if you are a complete hypejob, with a hand me over path then you will be exposed.

Mares, Santa Cruz, Hampton, all those are avoiding Rigo like ebola! Rigo will destroy them and and expose dudes like SC and Hampton just like he did to Nonito.

Once they feel Rigo's power they will go into a defensive shell, and hide...then casuals and people who dont understand boxing will say that Rigo is boring!!! I LMAO at them. "peeleft:

                    War Rigo!
