Then got beat up by Pacquiao ran for his life and was basically in survival mode until he practically begged his corner to stop the fight.

He was getting hit with bricks for 11 rounds before taking that knee and with pacquiao he was weight drained and he NEVER begged his corner to stop the fight, the ref jumped in to stop the fight in the last round while cotto was still fighting. How you got so much rep power while being so ***in dumb is beyond me.

WIth the exposure from being on the 2 biggest ppv's of the year, Maidana surely wants to face guys who he can make $2 mil plus with. I'm sure he'd take a fight with Manny, cotto or Canelo without hesitation.

Maidana is old school. He'd fight anybody within his weight range.

He didn't call out the boogeyman of his division. He called out the guy who makes him the most money. Had he called out a guy like Andrade then yes.

This would be an awesome fight. I'm not sure how well Maidana would look at 154lbs though when he looks already soft at 147lbs. Honestly though, Cotto looks like a small middleweight and could probably be more leveled facing a 147lb fighter that goes up because Cotto won't make 147lbs anymore these days without killing himself.

Maidana would probably get killed by true full size middleweights if he moved up though. Canelo would obliterate him. I think Cotto will be too much also but Cotto would be too much for Maidana at any weight. He's just a better fighter overall. More technical, breaks you down in a more methodical, destructive approach than Maidana.

Also, Maidana facing Pacquiao would be a fun fight to watch but Pacquiao is too damn accurate and moving to lose to a guy like Maidana. If the fight was at 140lbs, Pacquiao would KO Maidana for sure. At 147lbs, nobody really gets KO'd by Pacquiao, just beat up.
