Manny was only 26years old when he was demolishing the likes of Barrera and Morales, and getting big attention at the lower weights. He was around 29 I believe when he faced Oscar and broke out as a star. GGG is what? 33 already? The dude don't got much time left to get moving. Your talking out of his prime imminent and has yet to take the mantel.

Manny did it. No reason GGG won't be able to do the same. His English is getting better, that's really the only obstacle I see in his way

Yeah he needs to practice his english more, but bravo for learning as much as he knows so far. As it is now he has better diction than some current stars. I think thats what held James Toney back from becoming a superstar, damn diction.

I think not only is it possible-its probable. Other than Broner, I don't see an AMerican fighter who has the in and out of ring ability to become the biggest star in the sport. Maybe wilder but he just isn't that good.

Right now, Canelo, chavez jr. and GGG all are more likely to fill the void when Floyd retires, same as manny did when Floyd retired the 1st time.

Chavez will get fights and get them on his terms since he is so popular. That is a huge advantage. The problems he has-laziness and bad habits out of ring-can easily be corrected.
