What? Floyd put a new roadblock once Winky said OK. That is a Floyd tactic that you should know of by now.

Same with Margarito. When Canelo wanted such a stipulation, Floyd himself said, agreeing to terms on one fight should have no bearing on another fight. It's crazy to think that way because for one, Canelo can lose to Trout. Everyone on this site agreed with Floyd. Now, Floyd and Floyd fans like yourself contradict by saying differently.

If Floyd wanted Margarito, he could have fought him. Floyd had Margarito and Cotto fights guaranteed because they were all Top Rank fighters. Floyd knew that. You know that. Everyone knows that. Using the above logic against Floyd (remember Canelo), what if Floyd loses to Margarito? Cotto? See, it just didn't make sense and Floyd knew that. So he got out of the fight.

Furthermore, Floyd still had a chance later and still said no to a Margarito fight. Arum had Margarito wait and wait before taking on another opponent. It was a complete duck by Floyd!

Timeline: This was much later bud. Floyd said that he was not interested in fighting Cotto in late 2007/2008!!! So whatever you say, its another duck by Floyd. Imagine Floyd saying that Cotto didn't make business sense.

Is that what Floyd said? No he said that he didn't want to be lured into a fight with Cotto and brought up that it didn't make business sense. That was an undefeated Cotto who had just beat Mosley. Floyd fought a Cotto that went thru several wars and lost badly in a few of them. Different time, different Cotto.

"As of right now, it's no deal - they changed the money on me at the last second," said promoter Gary Shaw

floyd making crazy demands then when someone accepts changing the money? floyd would never do that...

they had already agreed to the money. then he changed it. winky was fighting at 160 at the time and floyd wanted to make it so winky couldn't weigh more than 162 in the ring. that's a pretty insane demand. obviously floyd didn't think winky would agree but he did so floyd had to resort to asking for more money to kill the fight.
Floyd was a 140lber and Winky was a 160lber I think a rehydration clause should be in effect. Please that's a lot higher jump than what Marquez did vs Floyd and Manny.

Rehydration is AFTER the weigh in.

Still, Floyd put these roadblocks thinking that Winky would not agree. When Winky agreed to one, Floyd went back and changed what was agreed upon already. Laughable. If Floyd didn't want the fight, just say so.
