How do you guys dream this shit up

Last I checked, there are plenty of opponents out there for Thurman to fight. And the reasoning doesn't have to be related to Floyd ......

Just hope he doesn't go the Paul Williams route and moves up. Thurman will get his opportunities although he may never land Mayweather who'll likely take time off or retire officially.

Floyd hasn't beaten the crap out of anybody in years.

If anything, it's Thurman would might beat the crap out of Floyd.

Wrong! The fact that Robert Guerrero turned down the fight disproves that. They can't steer him away from other fighters if THEY'RE the ones turning him down.

Go and actually watch his matches before saying something like that.

Nobody cares about Floyd Mayweather right now until he faces a big name, there are so many big names out there he can fight with and it would be a great fight.

Nobody wants a Mayweather-thurman or mayweather-khan or mayweather garcia. All those fighters either have not earned it or or has a glass chin.
Because all the decent names at WW are Haymon fighters, so is Thurman, and Thurman can't get Haymon to give him a fight against any of those decent names. He tries, and is ignored.

This is exactly my point. Thurman could be taking these fights if his management would allow it. But there not. So nobody is calling for a Mayweather fight.

Now if he would have say alexander or khan or Guerrero under his belt then it would be a fight that makes sense right?

What? No, THAT'S complete bullcrap! Thurman has said that's he's not afraid to let go of his 0 and that he wanted to fight guys like Porter and Alexander. He's not ducking anybody.

Some people do still want to see Thurman fight Mayweather. It even looks like the Showtime crew does.

Yes it would be awesome for us hardcore fans but let Thurman fight and beat someone like porter, brooks, ghost, Maidana, etc. get a win like that before he can seriously be considered for a Floyd fight
That's exactly the OP's point. Thurman hasn't been given an opportunity at Chino/Alexander/Ghost/Khan/Porter, i.e. match-ups that would raise his status and get him closer to a Mayweather match-up. IDK if it's being done purposefully, but Thurman should've fought a more notable opponent by now. He's still fighting fringe and unknown opposition. Yes, his next match-up against Bundu could lead to a title shot, but Thurman doesn't seem to be a priority in the Mayweather sweepstakes.

Floyd isn't the same anymore and Thurman doesn't posses the usual weaknesses for him to exploit. Thurman would simply be just too much for Floyd.
