What are you basing your statement on? Do you have any supporting articles that Thurman is being "steered away" from Mayweather, or are you merely pulling this from your posterior?

Thurman is the truth, he's still young so he has time. If anything they are steering him away from Amir Khan. Only reason Devon Alexander got the fight is because he's not a big puncher at 147.

Yea I think the issue is guys are choosing other options with hopes of receiving a Mayweather shot. Alexander makes more money fighting Khan and he has a better shot of winning (presumably). I think fighters are "steering" away from Thurman rather than Thurman being "steered" away from Floyd.

Well he is not getting Mayweather, I don't think he has enough time to reach that level before Mayweather retires especially when Mayweather is sitting on the damn WBA title and what this is doing is STALLING THURMAN CAREER and keeping him from getting a title around his waste. The Bundu fight has WBA Connections and Implications because Bundu is the WBA WORLD Welterweight Champion so I guess since WBA won't order Mayweather vs Thurman they kinda just want him to WAIT until Mayweather retires and then he will fight for the belt I don't know

But getting that WBA title would help him, then he wouldn't have to chase guys and call them out he could just take his Mandatory's

Thurman is still young though, I don't see what is the rush, his career is moving along at a the right pace as he continues to create a buzz with Boxing Fans

If he fights Bundu, who is #2(or 3) with the IBF, they can have the fight as a final eliminator for the IBF title. Brook is fighting in Feb, so the fight can be made for May/June time and if he wins the title, he'll deserve his shot in sep 2015. That's the only reason i see the Bundu fight happening, the eliminator.

Thurman needs to fight someone first. He passes the eye test I guess, but we don't know how good he really is
