Thurman being 'steered' away from Mayweather?

Is keith thurman being steered away from FMJ? It seems his management doesn't want to give him a fight even remotely close to a shot at Mayweather.
Without a known name on his resume nobody will be calling for the fight except hardcore fans.

    What say you??

I thought Thurman had potential fights with guys like Guerrero and Maidana but those fighters turned him down. That has nothing to do with Floyd.

      Oh stop it.

I'm all for the Mayweather is ducking someone. But no need to add a fighter that hasn't even won a major title yet to that list.

You still have the people who has a ducking list for Floyd

      1. Pacquiao
      2. GGG
      3. Khan

No need to add Thurman to that list, dude to me is no more threating than Marcos Maidana or Canelo Alvarez.

And Thurman doesn't need a title to be supported as a Mayweather contender, he just needs a LOYAL fan base, and no not just those on forums.
He needs the ones that show up like the Maidana, Alvarez and GGG fans.

It seems alexander would have fought him. Now he's fighting khan in hopes that that is the win that will land one of them a shot at floyd

Haymon is probably promising Thurman the world but its almost November and he has only fought once this year...and hes like 25 years old! Unacceptable.

Your trying to say that Al Haymon for some reason doesn't want Thurman Vs Mayweather, if anything he's trying to keep Thurman as a undefeated fighter until Mayweather retired.

It's not because he thinks Floyd loses to Thurman

But I doubt thats the issue too, Alexander and Ghost turned down Thuman, how does that reflect on Floyd or have anything to do with Floyd?

I doubt Guerrero is thinking "I can't let Thurman get a shoot at Floyd"

So, would that or would that not be 'steering' him away from Mayweather?

I'm not sure that alexander turned down anything. I haven't heard that, do you have a source?
