This makes me wonder why the hell no one watched Golovkin/Geale, which was a more competitive fight on paper.

GGG's populartiy is still building. The Rubio fight was the first time many people saw him.

Just because the fight was a better match up doesn't mean it should do higher ratings when he's on a popularity ascension


edit: these numbers are really impressive going up against FSU vs. Notre Dame saturday night as well
