Yeah its been a down year with a lot of weird circumstances. Canelo and Cotto usually get huge ratings but both only fought on ppv this year. Chavez always gets great ratings even though his popularity has taken a big hit..Obviously, Mayweather and Manny only fight on ppv..other than that there are just not a lot of stars in boxing in the US right now after Golovkin. Crawford, Broner, and Providnikov get good ratings too but just not at that level yet. On showtime, Maidana has become very popular but he only fought on PPV this year, as well. Also, showtime did not match up their other popular fighters well this year (even though they paid them well, Thanks Al) which contributed to underwhelming ratings.

Kovalev and Hopkins should do well, though.

As I thought, the Geale fight was an anomaly. Had a lot to do with GGG not fighting on HBO since Nov of 2013, and the fact that it was during the summer.

I hope they try and get a hold on Andre Ward's 'legal adviser' Josh Dubin for a comment. I guarantee he's not responding now lmfao.

Shows that those on here questioning Golovkin's appeal last time around were, surprise surprise, talking out of their arses.
