Q: Is Triple G really exciting?

        A: Yes.

        End thread.

Personally I thought the Donaire vs Walters fight was much more exciting than the main event.

However I think the Cotto fight will be exciting if Cotto can take GGGs punch. Cotto is the kind of fighter that can pose some problems for GGG with his subtle movement, heavy jab, and experience. Plus GGG can be hit. To me Cotto and GGG are by far the two best MWs and everybody else is a distant 3rd. I can't see Quillin or Canelo competing with either fighter right now.
You're a bloody floyd gobbler and you have the nerve to go down this road?????

What you are saying is, you dont find him entertaining. GGG is a guy who puts his punches together well, has excellent ring generalship, cuts off the ring well, has power and comes to destroy his opponents.

Given that, what people are a bit confused about is what dont you find entertaining?
Do you understand that entertainment is entirely subjective or do you need another trip to the dictionary?

You just answered your own question in the first sentance.

You are a fan of someone because they entertain you or atleast I am and like you just eloquently put it there's different strokes for different folks.

For me; no. His clubbing style isn't my thing. I'd rather watch Rigo dance around the ring throwing perfect lazer beams than watch GGG repetitively walk down an overmatched foe.

I don't get excited for his fights because his opponents are just so weak.

I can appreciate what he does in terms of skill and punching power but it just falls flat when you see that he's displaying it against a club fighter who is there to survive.

                  His style isn't for everyone.
Most will probably say Brandon Rios is one of the most exciting in the sport, his style isn't for me, it bores me rigid watching the guy.
I love the sweet science but I rarely watch Miguel Vasquez fight.
I love Rigondeaux and don't mind a bit of Lara but then there are a lot of southpaws with reasonably similar styles I detest. I think Trout has a hideous style and wouldn't watch him fight if you paid me same with Frankie Gavin.

His style is not for everybody.
A lot of boxing fans are the same or don't like seek and destroy fighters just like most GGG fans won't really appreciate the style of a fleet-footed pure boxer like say Erislandy Lara.

He doesnt fight club fighters. He has 5 wins over Ring top 10 contenders. This is the caliber of fighter Sergio was struggling to look good against when he was consenses top 5 p4p

                      Beautifully put.

It took page 17 to see common sense.

I actually find is unbelievable that the morons on this site actually think it's some sort of crime to not find a fighter they like entertaining, asking for it to be justified, claiming you aren't a fan of boxing if you aren't entertained by their guy.

                      Very bizarre.
