The Hernandez-Kameda fight which is the only fight Sho has lined up would just be an off-air undercard bout on an HBO card. You would think Sho would have plenty of money left for cards considering they really haven't had any marquee match ups with their star fighters all year. Porter-Brook was their best match up and the only fight that wasn't considered a tune up all year. Floyd fought 2 fights with Maidana, neither of which were wanted by several fans that wanted to see him face Porter or Thurman. Canelo stepped up against Lara but that was on PPV, along with his rebound fight with Angulo. Canelo & Porter fought the toughest opposition out of all of Sho's name fighters & now Canelo has gone to HBO. The gap between HBO & Showtime has never seemed bigger. HBO is closing the year strongly with Hopkins-Kovalev, Crawford-Beltran & Bradley-Chavez while Showtime is looking to be out of money on the heels of their worst year of content. How did this happen?
Showtime hasn't even announced their end of the year cards. There is already talks of Andrade/Jermell Charlo and that would take big ole dumps on bradley/chaves. Let's wait for Khan and Danny's next opponents. Sho can easily outdo HBO don't get it twisted.

oh yeah i forgot about that fight. ironic that one of their best fights had a bit of top rank flavor.

I'll believe it when I see it as far as getting Andrade-Charlo. As for Danny & Khan, seeing them in tune ups still would not be on the level of Bradley-Chaves. Chaves likely KO's whatever fighters will be on the other side of the ring with Khan/Danny. I've heard Guerrero-Khan rumors as well but nothing has materialized. We are late into October already

It's only October, dude. SHO has a pretty good November 1, with Kameda and Fonfora on a bill.

Even with that, Showtime is likely to still have another 4 shows or so to close out the year with; Khan is supposed to have a meaningful fight this year, Thurman is supposed to fight again this year, and the Stiverne/Wilder fight might end up on Showtime as well, in addition to other fights.

Hopkins-Kovalev is definitely a big show, but no one is beating down the doors for Crawford-Beltran or Bradley-Chaves. Beyond that, HBO is unlikely to add many shows, if any, to even the rumored ones (Cotto and Alvarez aren't fighting anyone this year, and Chavez Jr isn't going to fight either).

How is Showtime "out of money"?

I get what your saying but I'm sure all of Haymon's marquee guys don't want to fight on NBCSN. Showtime should lowball Haymon to get his name fighters against each other. They either take low money for crap fights or get paid for real fights. If Haymon wants to put all his fighters on NBCSN then Showtime should let him. They are making bank for tune ups because Showtime is willingly coughing up the dough. Max money for minimum risk is what Mayweather & Haymon have ushered in. Showtime is enabling this type of stuff to happen. Its crazy.

The fact is that at this moment "diego chaves" is a D+ level fighter. Timmy should be fighting Porter, Brook, Khan, Thurman. It's a shame he is signed with Top rank. We have no idea who Khan and Danny are fighting next, all i said is Sho can easily outdo bradley/chaves if they match Swift and Amir with good opponents, wich i'm sure will happen. I think Danny is figting Peterson or a 147 fighter, Khan prob going against Devon or The Ghost. There is also Broner and Matthysse who have no opponents yet... Sho can close out the year with a ****

Piss poor year. Their main events on their main channel have been:
                  Lamont Peterson vs. Dierry Jean
                  Danny Garcia vs. Mauricio Herrera
                  Bernard Hopkins vs. Beibut Shumenov
                  Keith Thurman vs. Julio Diaz
                  Adonis Stevenson vs. Andrzej Fonfara
                  Robert Guerrero vs. Yoshihiro Kamegai
                  Danny Garcia vs. Rod Salka
                  Shawn Porter vs. Kell Brook
                  Adrien Broner vs. Emmanuel Taylor

9 cards and I count 2 main events I looked forwarded to; Hopkins-Shumenov and Porter-Brook.

4 main events turned out to be good fights; Garcia-Herrera, Stevenson-Fonfara, Guerrero-Kamegai, Broner-Taylor.

Khan-Alexander/Guerrero & Garcia-Peterson would outdo Bradley-Chavez. The problem is we know those fights aren't going to happen. Bradley-Chavez should be a nice style match up. Khan-tune up and Garcia-tune up seem more likely. Khan should get one fight in December but the chances of it being somebody with a pulse look pretty slim. Same with Thurman's next fight.

                      HBO Boxing schedule - 2014: http://www.hbo.com/boxing/fights#/bo...ghts/2014.html

                      SHO Boxing schedule - 2014: http://www.sho.com/sho/sports/fights

And that's without counting the ShoBox cards that have been put on this year; another ten fight cards or so. By the end of 2014, a SHO channel subscriber would've had the opportunity to watch nearly 30 fight cards, among which are four PPV re-airs, and see many of the rising stars in the sport.

What has HBO delivered for their fight fan?
