We've seen this story before. Bradley dumped his manager, and hired his wife, and then his wife negotiated his new contract. Chavez Jr. will most likely re-sign with TR for 6 fights, and then get a big fight real soon.

I hadn't thought about this either, the manager just may be a ****ing idiot and impossible to work with and Chavez kicked him to the curb.

arum has been a lawyer. and knows how to cover his ass and legitimately take advantage of these nim num head boxers and their legal help.

That's a fair point. But I could easily see Haymon pay Chavez money to not fight and wait out his contract with Arum.
