Cotto did the catchweight of 1 lb. On top of that its not like martinez has trouble making weight.

Why would he even take an extention when he has stated that he wants a fight by fight contract like cotto?

It is always fun when the truth benefits Arum or at least doesn't hurt him to say so he offers it up.

Time is always a big factor though given the rough nature of boxing, that said JCC Jr. if he was properly using his time in the gym it could really help his career. Sadly I know there is no way that is happening, but one could dream that he is actually making good use of this time away.

Chavez believes he is a free agent and his contract with Top Rank expired at the end of the September. Arum disagrees with his position, stating that Julio owes his company one more fight and has a year's worth of contract time to fulfill that obligation.

Chavez, as a standalone offer for the Golovkin fight, was offered a guarantee of $3m, with Golovkin having been offered even less; from the perspective of Team Chavez Jr, the upside on said fight would only kick in above 400k PPV buys.

Pause and think for a moment; $49.99 per PPV on 400k PPv buys (~$10 in fighter revenues), and Chavez Jr gets $3m, Golovkin gets $2m, and Top Rank walks away with $5m, before then giving Chavez Jr and Golovkin small pieces on whatever revenues come in beyond that.

The fight would be openly marketed to the Mexican and Mexican American communities, with Top Rank doing everything in their power to work off of the Chavez name, yet Top Rank walks away with over 50% of the proceeds on the fight. And this is even without factoring in the kind of money that would come from the site fee for a Chavez Jr fight.

In what world is that even remotely a fair offer?

I can't believe i am saying this but i actually agree with this statement from Bob Arum. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr is wasting time. All he does now is post on twitter and instagram.

The one fight extension offer was more than fair though, generous in fact

I am from the UK. There is a reason Carl wants it in Vegas. Jnr is not even known here, in fact neither is his dad.

Mayweather got how much for Canelo?

                      158? LOL.
