I personally don't mind Jr. stalling on Arum, he's not the kind of guy I'd want to continue doing business with and you know Bob wants that iron clad extension regardless of what comes out of his mouth to the media. I don't believe Julio is ducking GGG, let alone the other names Bob mentioned.

The way I see it, Chavez is going to lose here. He's getting great offers both financially and great fights as well. Lets put this into perspective here, Canelo, who is arguably the more popular fighter at this point, who fought Mayweather in the biggest fight in boxing history got paid $1.5 million for his fight against Lara. Lara was just as dangerous as any fighter Bob has been offering to Chavez like GGG, froch etc. Chavez is a lazy bum who is only interested in money but not willing to fight the best. what a waste of talent.

Boxing was so much better in the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's when fans didn 't have to squabble over contract terms, how much fighters made, extensions, etc. "Fans" these days seem to be more of an arm chair promoter rather than boxing enthusiast. That being said, easiest way out of his contract would have been to take the 2 mil and have a good showing vs GGG or Froch. He would have hit the open market with bargaining power, now he'll join the likes of Gamboa, Ward, etc and waste his prime awaiting arbitration.

He doesn't interest or entertain me. On top of that he's unlikeable and lazy.
I just can't imagine why this kid would appeal to anyone.

what is clear is Chavez jr. doesn't want to fight under the top rank banner. If he owes Bob a fight-make it and be done. If bob keeps insisting on an extension as a condition-wait it out.

Just look at his resume. Who has he really beaten that's note worthy? The one time he stepped up to the plate he got embarrassed by Sergio Martinez.
Chavez is ******. Turning down $7+mil for just a 1 fight extension is just insane. Unless he's fighting the winner of Canelo/Cotto, Chavez will not make anywhere close to $7mil.

That's why He's worth the money. The only reason Arum is b!tching, is because he knows Jr is worth the money, and he wants it all. Listen, Jr cannot help who his father is, or change his name. He is a top fighter in his own right, and we should not be jealous, because he has no choice. Would you turn down fame and fortune just because your father was famous? No you would use the name to your benefit in the beginning. The fact is that Jr is 48 and 1. His father did not win those fights for him, He did. There is a few reasons people pay to watch this Man fight. The number one reason is He fights hard, and he is talented. This man does not get paid to be his fathers Son.
