It is always fun when the truth benefits Arum or at least doesn't hurt him to say so he offers it up.
Time is always a big factor though given the rough nature of boxing, that said JCC Jr. if he was properly using his time in the gym it could really help his career. Sadly I know there is no way that is happening, but one could dream that he is actually making good use of this time away.

Chavez believes he is a free agent and his contract with Top Rank expired at the end of the September. Arum disagrees with his position, stating that Julio owes his company one more fight and has a year's worth of contract time to fulfill that obligation.

Pause and think for a moment; $49.99 per PPV on 400k PPv buys (~$10 in fighter revenues), and Chavez Jr gets $3m, Golovkin gets $2m, and Top Rank walks away with $5m, before then giving Chavez Jr and Golovkin small pieces on whatever revenues come in beyond that.
The fight would be openly marketed to the Mexican and Mexican American communities, with Top Rank doing everything in their power to work off of the Chavez name, yet Top Rank walks away with over 50% of the proceeds on the fight. And this is even without factoring in the kind of money that would come from the site fee for a Chavez Jr fight.
In what world is that even remotely a fair offer?

Mayweather got how much for Canelo?
158? LOL.
