  • Adalaide Byrd is a Judge for this fight. She will definitely get the score right if it goes all 12.

    • 50/50 fight. To win, Nonito needs to be multi-dimensional, not just looking for the KO. He needs to use his jab & up his workrate throwing more punches to score points.

Darchinyan was winning the fight, until Nonito KO'd him out. I think Walters will win by decision. Walters is patient and has decent movement (using distance). Although, he lacks head movement, lateral movement, and angles. Walters will score points and win by decision.

Ha that was awesome & in a way how it should be done.

Can't stand trainers who loop hooks over their head, have it so they roll under and if they don't they get hit.

          • Walters gonna get drop by that left hook.

            • Walters looks damn serious.. I'll be rooting for Donaire but I won't be mad if we see a new threat.

Imagine Walters knocking out Donaire then targeting Lomachenko and Gonzalez.. damn!!

              • Donaire by KO. I've seen Walters fight against Vic and while I think he has great power I don't think he has enough speed as Nonito does. Maybe I'm wrong but either way I think this is a good one that won't last the entire 12 rounds.

If Walters can come with a good chin, it'll be rough for Donaire. Walters seems pretty thick, big, and strong for the weight class. If Walters can show us he can do more than punch hard, but time and pick his punches precisely then we should be in for an exhilarating war.

                  • This is a great match-up but I'm not sure if it's going to be an especially entertaining fight. It could be, but it really depends on how tentative Walters is against a dangerous counterpuncher like Donaire.

It might be in Walters' best interests to keep things real quiet for 5-6 rounds and let the frustration eat away at Nonito. He has huge reach for a featherweight and he can keep pecking away at Donaire without taking an awful lot of risk.

Ultimately Donaire's success, if he is to have any, is going to come off the back of something Walters does. At this stage it doesn't seem too likely that he'll create something fight-changing himself. If Walters can stay composed and patient he could give Donaire a very difficult fight. How he reacts when he's caught himself, of course, is one of the big unknowns that'll have to be answered on the night.

I was going to pick Walters by KO but if Donaire feels like he's going down he'll find a way to survive. He'll use his movement and pot shot if he feels in danger of getting stopped.
I'm gonna go ahead and mirror your prediction. I think Walters takes this. Nonito may have bitten off more than he can chew.
