Actually, I've been reading this site for years, just recently started commenting on the thread. Btw, I'm not a Mayweather or Pacquiao fan. I'm a fan of the sport (boxing).

Thats all fine and dandy except for two things. 1st thing is that floydie "retired" after his ricky hatton fight. They were gonna set up the top two ww's behind floydie in margarito and cotto and the winner gets mayweather, oh wait he was retired. So mosley fought the winner instead. What did mayweather do when he came out of retirement? Thats right he fought mosley, who was the winner of the mosley margarito fight. 2nd, at the end of 2006, floyd unified the ww titles with his win over baldomir right? What weight was cotto in? light ww. By the time cotto won his 1st ww belt, floyd already had in plans the ODH fight in may. That year was 2007. Whats the date that cotto defeated mosley to be the next best welterweight behind floydie? Whats the date of floyds fight when he "retired" after his victory over hatton?

Your missing my point. Arum definitely didn't want Mayweather to fight Cotto when they both were at 140. Mayweather may have said that Cotto was too green. But that's not the reason that they did not fight, Cotto and Arum was... I see that your a Cotto fan and I like Miguelito too. But unfortunately, this is another subject that you can't debate with objectivity.

Same here. Ima cotto fan, hes a warrior, one of the last of the dying breed in boxing. Ive been watching boxing since I was little with my grandfather. His favorite fighter was holyfield. Im 29 btw, not afraid to say my age.
