Im not even a Floyd fanboy everyone knows that about me. Im a true boxing fan and he was good af the past few years. I have always hated how people talk bad about him as a fighter, and felt he was underrated.

Out of my loyalty to the sport, I feel I have to step up when people talk bad about a fighter as sharp as this. Top 3 plus minus rating in boxing history yet people sum up his career with the Pac fight not happening. Or use that to rub out everything he did outside of Pacman.

Overrated is a very disrespectful word to use, when 100% of the people I encounter say he's nothing special. He's underrated. No one understands that skillwise there will never EVER be a fighter that good EVER.

Out of my loyalty to the sport, Im always going to step up and give the man his props. And I have always noted that he ducked Pacman and I have even suspected him of roid use.

Yeah SRL, for me anyway, is the most overrated fighter of all time.

Margarito is a bum Canelo is not. Canelo was never gassed stop making up stories lol. And Margarito is waay bigger than Cotto. Canelo had a 15lb weight advantage over Floyd.

You say Floyd didnt walk him down the whole fight? Floyd is not thinking, "I can only walk him down for a few minutes thats it" Floyd has ZERO respect for your power. He comes forward from the opening bell. He doesnt bounce around the ring in the first round like Silva or SRL.

Its not something he calculates, he just goes forward whether you want to admit it or not.
You're making this thread into another Floyd thread...not necessary. Floyd can be perceived as overrated if youre of the opinion he is TBE because of his resume and weak era...but I don't think he's either overrated or underrated.

You lost all cred when you said Floyd takes more risks than Pac. Quite the opposite....Floyd can be up considerably in a fight and he will be content with boxing the 12 rounds for a decision. He will not go all out like Pacman even if he smells blood.

His best win can't be Canelo. Canelo is not in his prime plus he was forced to reach a catchweight to make the fight happen with Floyd. Probably Corrales.

Damn, I have to strongly disagree, it's quite the opposite with Pryor. Some things to admire but overall he was too reckless.

Imagine floyd beating a number 1 p4p fighter in julio cesar chavez and sweetpea whitaker struggling againts guys like marcos maidana(someone who you'll never see in the p4p) ...lol
Whitaker struggled with Hurtado and Riveria though.

Both who are a lot worse than Maidana.

                A younger Whitaker aswell.

you are a hypocrite. you are crediting pacquiao for beating Bradley when he was coming off of a questionable decision against provodnikov. but discredit Floyd's win over hatton because he was coming off of a questionable win over collazo

Uggghhh......enough with the Floyd stuff, never understood why people need to argue to the death over him

Always thought Frazier was a bit overrated
Berto might be the most overpaid
Never bought into the Jermain Taylor hype....or Pavlik for that matter
                    Jean Pascal and Bute

Not that I think these guys are awful by any means, just got more hype than I thought they should
