Name one fighter in history that can fight that version of Canelo and walk him down without getting grazed? Sure plenty of them could BEAT or Destroy Canelo, but not walk him down without being touched. Floyd was at a 15lb weight disadvantage and that version of Canelo would beat the snot out of the version of the Corralles that Floyd faced. Floyd was also 37.You're making this thread into another Floyd thread...not necessary. Floyd can be perceived as overrated if youre of the opinion he is TBE because of his resume and weak era...but I don't think he's either overrated or underrated.
You lost all cred when you said Floyd takes more risks than Pac. Quite the opposite....Floyd can be up considerably in a fight and he will be content with boxing the 12 rounds for a decision. He will not go all out like Pacman even if he smells blood.
His best win can't be Canelo. Canelo is not in his prime plus he was forced to reach a catchweight to make the fight happen with Floyd. Probably Corrales.
Pacman uses footwork to swarm you from the outside. He is also a great puncher so he is always going to be in a position where he can try to finish a guy. Floyd however fights guys MUCH more bigger and dangerous than him and stays flatfooted in the pocket while throwing less shots than Pac would.
Floyd is a fight master. Pac is always going to be Pac. An outside boxer with great pop.Comment

Im not an ALT u dummy. But like I said prior, I am a fan of the sport and Im not going to just diminish Floyd's gift down to just "another ATG" all because its the popular thing to do. He is different from the rest. By different I mean ten times better.
Again, it must be distinguished what he does in the ring compared to what type of resume, titles, record he has. You know why it must be distinguished? Because of HIS skillset. If he never would have came around and blatantly separated himself from the other fighters, we could just jumble all their titles & weight classes together!
He so fking good and brilliant I dont think its right for us to just talk around it anymore.
Only stats I used were his landing %. He's the best fighter that YOU've seen.Comment

No, the greatest fighter I've ever seen, and I'm young to the sport, is Pacquiao. Mayweather was great until his first retirement. Since then he's been nothing but a fraud.Im not an ALT u dummy. Since he's come out of his retirement, & before then also, he's avoided a certain style that could really trouble him. Khan brings it, Pacquiao brings it, Judah brought it for 6 rounds until he did what he usually does in fights.
Ofc you look great against an opponent who uses the wrong gameplan. Early on, Bradley & Canelo were right there with Pac & Floyd, but they both couldn't keep up with either ATG and decided to change it up. Bradley went for haymakers, Canelo went for boxing. Both were thoroughly out boxed the rest of the way.Comment

The dude's washed up? He beat the #3 P4P guy in the world & is fighting an undefeated fighter who's style Pacquiao has only seen once (in a guy that doesn't even fight that way, Mosley).Stop talking about Pac . He is washed up and Floyd has made it VERY clear that he isnt going to fight him thats the only reason you keep talking about it. And guess what? He's been fighting guys BETTER than a washed up Pac. You all just kept talking about the fight KNOWING he wouldnt fight him, knowing the fight is already expired. The only reason you keep talking about it is to smother out the fights he had against BETTER opponents.
Thats grimey as hell. He dont even have to fight Pac no more. I think Pac needs to fight Ghost, Canelo, or SOME elite fighter to get a Floyd fight. Fighting Rios doesnt cut it.
Yet Floyd struggles with Maidana of all ****ers that are legit Pro's & he's still #1? Join us in the real world some time.
You just ****ing call Ghost elite? Man go hang your @ss.Comment

that's just one way of looking at it.....
the mere point that one can be up there can likely be attributed to being over-rated...
and the list tends to show that the old warriors stay on their high status levels long before they were gone...but the current breed of fighters go high or low as good as only their last fights.... meaning the list is very subjective in time...Comment

Mayweather didnt even reach his absolute prime until he fought JMM after his first retirement dummy! At that point his plus minus rating raised to 30 which experts have not referred to as astonishing, but Beyond Otherworldly! No, the greatest fighter I've ever seen, and I'm young to the sport, is Pacquiao. Mayweather was great until his first retirement. Since then he's been nothing but a fraud.

Floyd's was top 3 in boxing history alongside Lennox Lewis and Joe Louis! Floyd did duck Pac but that does not absorb his entire legacy. He has put in WAAY too much work.
Floyd beat Canelo's big azz WAAAAY better than Pacman lost to Bradley's little bumazz! Floyd put on an AllStar performance against Nelio. Pacman did something SIMILAR to Cotto a few years back, but their will only be one Floyd Mayweather.Comment
