Comments Thread For: Rigondeaux Still Mulling Offers, Eyes December Return

Guillermo Rigondeaux is free from Top Rank, but he has yet to find a replacement co-promoter, according to the junior featherweight world champion’s manager.

“He had substantial offers from Roc Nation and Frank Warren, and they were two of the biggest contracts I’ve ever seen for a 122-pounder, but his co-promoters haven’t been able to agree,” Gary Hyde told BoxingScene.com.

Hyde is referring to Miami-based Caribe Promotions, who he is imploring to help him facilitate his Cuban charge’s return to the ring after the contract with Top Rank ended in July. [Click Here To Read More]

Nobody at 122 wants to fight him. He needs to move up to 126 ASAP.

His fights would be more competitive and exciting up there.

If Caribe's in the way, then Rigo needs to get away from them.

Doesn't help most the belt holders and big names are with Top Rank and he left.

Also he's really good... but come on...fill Brooklyn?

People left during his AC fight

Very happy to know this, not surprised at all. He doesn't deserve big network time. Fans like me switch the channel if we are watching cards that he is a part of.

Boring, disgusting style. No network wants to be associated with him. The public image of any network that gives him air time like UniMas takes a big hit.

This. If Rigo is content on being loyal to them then I can't feel bad for him.

They are probably asking for a ridiculous share of promotional revenues in a co-promoter agreement that nobody in there right mind would agree to. Especially when they do ..........well......nothing.
