There are a number of people calling Mayweather the greatest ever. It's perfectly natural for people to want him to prove it. A trilogy with a 140 lber like Maidana isn't going to get it done.

Of course Golovkin would be more akin to Barkley than Hagler. In that one Duran was even older than Floyd is now.

You have people calling for Floyd to win the lineal MW title from Cotto, a guy he already handedly and recently beat. Which naturally brings up a possible match up with the best fighter at MW, to avoid calling the Cotto fight a cherry pick.

He's 147 when it's convenient but I bet you're quick to point out he's a champion at 5 different weight classes. One of those being 154, which is where GGG would want the fight.

Paquiao also has a belt at 154, do you think arum will be ****** enough to match him vs GGG though.. Neither Floyd nor manny have ever really weighed 154, the highest Floyd has been is 151 and manny I think 146.

this whole triple G thing is really starting to piss me off, he's fighting Rubio, should be good for like 2-3 rounds, wowwwww. I understand people may be avoiding him, but it also goes both ways, he's probably pricing himself out most fights as well. I like Golovkin, and he can fight, but he hasn't fought a top 5 middleweight, wtf, fight one, even for chump change, prove yourself. it also bothers me that we will call out Chavez at 168 for no belt, but can't fight ward at 168 for a belt.........and Mayweather is not a 154 lber, when has he ever weighed above 152? NEVER! how can he be considered a 154lber? because his skillset is good enuogh to beat bigger fighters at that weight class?

Floyd could easily fight and be lineal at 135 and 140 with 140 being his ideal fighting weight.

BUT if I was Floyd I'd eek and make Golovkin come in at 152, weight class fluctuation cuases major issues for some fighters, most notably the amount of punishment one can take. A lot of fighters who lost or got KOed is due to weight class fluctuation.

You think these idiots give a damn about any of that, all they want is for Floyd to lose, no matter if a guy hits him with a hammer, they'll say fair fight ..

Mayweather is too small and too old, end of story. GGG wouldn't gain any respect from the boxing public by beating Mayweather at this stage of his career, most logical people can see he's on the decline.
