Another odd thing was that Eddie Muhammad wasn't with him for the match, that just shows how "serious" he took the match.

Hey, I'm giving Dawson one more fight to prove himself. But then I don't write fighters off as quickly as some 'fans' do. As it was though, he won this one by 1 or 2 IMO. And injury free, we'll see how he does next time out. With Eddie Muhammad healed and an injury free Dawson, there should be a better result. Wouldn't mind even seeing him rematch Karpency.

Team Dawson didn't take this fight seriously. Dawson is more talented than Karpency plus they didn't take advantage of a fighter who was fighting on 3 weeks notice. You go into a fight where you are rebuilding your career without your trainer? Plus, I hate when fighters go into a fight just to get some rounds in. He mentioned that's what he was going to do because his last fight was only 1 round. When you do that, the other fighter gains confidence and then they become better than you anticipated. Now you run the risk of being even towards the middle to late rounds and than an injury occur. Chad could of and should of gotten him outta there in 3 or 4 rounds, but he waited too long and lost a close and fair decision. Karpency will probably fight Stevenson next. When Stevenson knocks this kid out, that'll be the end of any hopes of Dawson vs. Stevenson II.

Dawson clearly lost this fight... and even if you thought he didn't for some bizarre reason probably because you're a fan... you can't be mad at the decision unless you're just an unconditional fan...
Dawson has always been overrated to me... I still remember when people were saying he's the best pound for pound..i thought it was a joke... He's another one of these "slick boxers" who doesn't have a good enough work rate... but thinks he should get every decision by not engaging his opponents and trying to win boring decisions...
He lost the fight plain and simple... I really have to reevaluate my life for why I even watched the fight... I'm watching less and less of boxing and Dawson is one of the reasons why..his fight with B-Hop should given to insomnia patients..how that was on PPV still makes me chuckle..

I thought a draw would've been the best decision.
Sad Chad fought better with one hand then two hands in the second half of the fight
Tommy fell off in the second half of the fight but did land the stronger shots in the 1st half.
