Not a big believer in raising expectations to the roof like that because it always leads to disappointing them. A million would be a really good number that hasn't been seen in a while so no need to jump over the moon when a nice 6 foot high wall can make you look real impressive.

    That is just me though.

cotto and canelo's star power in america is being overrated by oscar.......bradley vs marquez did about the same as if not better than each of canelo's and cotto's last ppvs.

There is no bigger fight next year outside of PAC/May.

If this fight falls on Cinco de Mayo weekend and Floyd's not fightin Manny he will not beat that PPV.

If both fights happen on the same weekend, I will be buying Canelo/Cotto.

PAC/May Will be charging record prices for that pay-per-view, and I'm not going to watch a watered-down version of this fight. If this flight would've happened five years ago it could've been the biggest pay-per-view ever.

This fight has lost its luster to and after both of there bull **** I'm not giving them close to $100 there prob gonna ask for. Canelo/Cotto will be the better fight anyway, Pac/May Will not be as good as all the hype.

Doesnt matter like I've been sayin for years I still don't see this fight ever gettin made, the only way I could maybe see it happening is the threat of Canelo/Cotto on Cinco de Mayo weekend.

I don't care what anyone says Hispanic fans will be watching that fight especially on Cinco de Mayo. There's too much oh a Mexican/Puerto Rican pride and rivalry! Period dot!

Oscar must be in dope again if he thinks Canelo vs Cotto can do nearly 2 million, the only fight right now that can break throug that point is Floyd vs Pacquiao, there's no other fight as big as Cotto vs Canelo is that can get to that point.

IMHO fi the fight happens I see that rangin from 600 minium to a max of 1.2 million maxium, and that 1.2 million is being very optimistic.

All the haters saying Canelo/Cotto won't do well pointing at Canelo's first few PPV's are just haters.

You have to take into consideration who ther fighting. Nobody knew who Trout or Lara was . It takes names to draw as you saw with Mayweather and the Guererro fail!!

People seem to conveniently forget Floyd never drew or did numbers until the Oscar fight, Which Oscar carried.

When Oscar ****** forward stepped into his spot, but prior to the De La Hoya fight Floyd never drew big numbers.

Canelo/Cotto are two of the biggest names in boxing, and on a Hispanic holiday will draw big. Maybe not 2 million but it will draw.

Haters conveniently forget the facts. Floyd never was who he is now until Oscar brought him into the lime light and retired .

Canelo is still young but will eventually be the biggest draw in boxing. When Floyd was. Canelo's age he was nowhere near the draw Canelo is at this young age , and he still has a whole career ahead of him.

It's a constant revolving door that will continue in boxing til the end of time .

No one person is bigger than the sport !

                  Oscar....SHUT UP!

That is just ridiculous, it can break 1 Million for sure but 2 Million...NO! Not reaching 2 Million going head to head with Mayweather that is for damn sure

This is a huge fight, especially in the Latin community, but I would be shocked if this bout did anywhere near a million buys. If Canelo was still undefeated (and hand't been embarrassed by Floyd) and Cotto was younger and less shop worn, then maybe. I think 700k would be a pretty good success all things considered. Not hating, as I would love to see this fight crack a million or more but I just don't see it.

The 2 million buys figure seems exaggerated -- the big PPV days are over...
