  • Another factor in all this, with it being a time buy, NBC won't put much of an effort to promote the shows.

I think people will be disappointed with the ratings, yes it can work but not under these circumstances. Fox promotes the UFC during the NFL and their ratings are tepid.

          • So many happy people here that want the boxing on "regular" tv cuz they are too cheap to get basic cable and some extra channels.

            • Peiiple have been complaining about boxing not being on network tv for years. Now this news comes along with someone putting actual money into a legit venture withworld one of the biggest networks in the world and it seems people want it to fail. Boxing fans can't help but get in their own way. It's about time for a new narrative, a new script. This whole black and white good and evil crap is old.

Its not boxing fans, just NSB. this forum is overwhelmingly pro manny and anti Floyd. as such, any venture involving floyd or anyone aligned with him the majority of posters want it to fail.

JUst look at how a good portion flipped their position on GBP and Canelo when they left SHowtime.

And some other peiiple have been around long enough to see many of these various returns of boxing to network television, and few of them have ended well.

The goal for some isn't just boxing on network television, it's quality boxing on network television...and nobody has any idea what the quality will be for these fights.

Let's see how what kind of fights they put on fill on each of these 24 dates before we break out the confetti.
