If the fight was action packed Lara would have gotten knocked the **** out because that's not his game. No fighter should have to adjust his style to make his opponent look good.

I understand, and not everyone is meant to be prime time TV. While Canelo is, and has to go that route. Lara isn't, and will have to travel that path the rest of his career. There paths crossed, it made sense. The networks tried it, it didn't work out and now these boxers are going in two differeny directions. Lata is in his 30's and his career is dwindling down. Canelo is 23 and is just sprouting into stardom.

If you wanna say that Lara deserves a rematch just on the sheet fact the fight was close than that's fine. I agree. But that would be the ONLY reason, and unfortunately that's not enough to get two guys in the ring, especially when ones a prize fighter.

Agree with everything. Sports-wise it makes sense. Business-wise it doesn't and that's why it won't.

Can't argue this at all! Still don't see Canelo winning 7 rds though to get the decision. Lara blew if more than Canelo won it.

Of course Lara doesn't deserve a rematch, pulling that circus stunt he did in that fight and giving boxing a bad rep. Lara and his ilk are the type that's ruining and killing boxing. No one wants to see fighters running in the ring for 12 rounds. People pay to see fights not track meets or wrestling contests.

EXCELLENT POST!!!!! Lara started running as soon as Canelo started going to the body!! Canelo's body attack is what forced Lara to run the way he did. Lara did not want to fight he thought he could run his way to a decision.

If canelo has 115 to 113 then doesn't that make him the winner of the match.

115-113 either way fights. I.e only aim to win 6 close rounds and thats the fight in the bag...

That's not true at all.

Herrera didn't run around the ring refusing to fight. He was the aggressor for half the fight. He also has a large majority who believe he won, whereas Lara does not.

A large amount of people think Lara won too.Herrera didn't throw power punches, and we all know that jabs don't count... And as far as herrera not running, it sounds like he didn't have good 'ring generalship". Just because you don't like a guys fighting style doesn't mean he deserves to be screwed out of his rematch
