Not true. I felt like Lara could have got the nod. But I'm also not mad at the close decision. Lara avoided Canelo at all costs and Canelo did more damage.
I don't care for a rematch because I dont care for boxers that don't come to fight. If your whole intention is just to sc**** by on the cards, then that's cool for you. For me, GTFO with that garbage. Imo, you come to win, and you come to fight, and bewilder and punk your opponent. Leave no doubt. Like yeah b1tch, I just whooped your ass.
And if you CANT do that, then you go out trying to. On your shield. But that's just me. Some people like to watch amateur style fights in the PROS.Comment

As for your first sentence, when analysing Canelo as a fighter, you surely can't claim Canelo is any better than Trout or Lara when those fights were fights that both could have won, only depending on what influence the judges have (especially in the Trout case)?Comment

Canelo didn't exactly do this with Trout and Lara though did he

There's things Canelo does that Lara & Trout can't do (or atleast very well) and vise versa. There's a reason Lara was moving literally every moment of every round and still was leaking like a faucet from a vicious upper cut. That's no coincidence.Comment

I can agree with you... canelo/trout was a close fight too that could have gone either way.. but this is what happens when you fight the best in your division, your not gonna always blow out the other fighter especially if their at that elite level as canelo is imo.... when the best fight the best 9 out 10 times its going to be a close fight and canelo is daring to be great so he deserves alot of credit from his retractors.Last edited by LouIE G; 09-30-2014, 08:36 PM.Comment

I didn't say better. All three of those fighters have strengths and weaknesses. That's why they were mainly close fights.

I believe both the Trout and Lara fights warrant rematches. But as boxing is so far removed as a sport, and now operates way more as a business, you can argue against itComment
