The first fight wasn't in Oakland, it was in Atlantic City. The building wasn't even full. Why would you want to fight in a half full building when you can fight in a stadium?

dont like froch to be honest. think he's a very insecure bloke and has some issues, however you have to give the guy respect. never ducked down from a challenge. gave groves the rematch he wanted and stil beat him.

No doubt the guy has sublime boxing skills.
However Ward is irrelevant.. He wallows in almost total obscurity and his only fans are insecure African Americans who feel their "tougher than white people" myth being exposed as the myth it is.

Ward is in boxing limbo and Froch is 37 and was never too quick to begin with.

What should Froch do? Stay inactive, get older and wait for Ward to settle his legal issues and/or wait for Ward to become a popular boxer who puts asses in the seats? Boxing is a business after all, right homies?

Cory Spinks was the unified welterweight champion holding all the championship belts back then. The only way Judah could become champion again, and earn the money that went with it, was to take a pay cut and fight Spinks in his hometown. He had no alternative but to do that.
Froch has plenty of alternatives which don't involve Andre Ward. He holds 2 championship belts and can earn more money defending them than he would earn by fighting Ward away from home again.
Zab Judah needed Cory Spinks, Carl Froch doesn't need Andre Ward. He has said many times that he will fight him again where the fight would earn most money for both of them - in the UK, but he isn't going to go chasing after him taking any pay cuts.
