Comments Thread For: Carl Froch: I Have One, Maximum of Two Fights Left

IBF/WBA 'regular' super middleweight champion Carl Froch (33-2, 24KOs) is still holding out hope that he doesn't have to face his mandatory challenger James DeGale in London. Froch would much rather travel to Las Vegas for a showdown with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. or another opponent of worth.

Froch, 37-years-old, admits that a fight with DeGale is not motivating him to get back in the ring. Whether it's Las Vegas or the UK, Froch needs his next defense to be a massive event. His last fight, in May, drew 80,000 fans to Wembley Stadium for the rematch with George Groves.

          Chavez and retire.

Don't want to see the Degale fight.

Don't want to see Kessler 3.

Not too interested in Anthony Direll either.

And he'll likely take the Calzaghe route: get paid and bow out.

The Calzaghe route? As if Joe Calzaghe is the only boxer in history to look to get paid well before retiring

              What a horrifically tedious connection.

Think he should retire now, a Chavez Jr win does nothing for him, or he should try to move up.

                  Does nothing?

It means he'll be able to spend his retirement in a bigger house.

If anyone has earned one last big pay day it's Froch

Does nothing but a great payday. Screw money.
