Pacquiao did show the potential of the Asian market. That's why Arum was quick to sign and build Zou Shiming. He even asked Roach to train him. Fighting in Macau is an obvious cash grab for Arum but is also an opportunity to capitalize on Shiming and the growing popularity of boxing in China.
Why do you think Pacquiao has opened boxing Academies in China but not in The Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand or Japan which are hotbeds of boxing activity?
