1) Algieri HAS fought at and above 147 while Kickboxing so the weight is not a problem. Plus Manny isn't a natural Welter anyway, he fights there because that's where the money is. 2) So what?.. He just beat the guy that was supposed to be next in line to fight Manny. 3) Mauricio Herrera was an ESPN fighter before he fought Danny Garcia and everyone knows he was robbed in that fight.(Tells you espn fighters are pretty good). Both Chris Byrd and Brandon Rios are on record picking Algieri to win so who's word should we take, yours or that of two professional fighters? You obviously haven't checked Algeri's resume. 1) He's never fought a Welterweight, 2) He's only been in one championship fight @ 140, 3) If you ever saw Algeri before he fought Provodnikov, you saw it on ESPN (which should tell you everything you need to know). This is a total mismatch and it's shameful that a fighter on Manny's level should be fighting him on PPV.
Dude, by reading your comments for the past few days it's obvious to me that you love Floyd so you feel the need to hate Manny so I get why you're bashing this fight. You want to hate Manny fine by me, but personally I'm picking and pulling for Algieri to win being that I'm a New Yorker so this why I'm ripping apart your arguments that are totally bias anyway. Let's meet back here again after Chris beats Manny so I can hear your excuses on how Chris only won cause Manny is shot.Comment

At least Algieri has not been exposed as a fringe talent, like the guy Floyd just rematched. I mean, shut out by Devon... Plus he dominated the guy that just gave the future of boxing Broner all he could handle
Macau has at least 7x the ******** revenue of Vegas, dumba$$Comment

The entire "blood testing" sit down conference was just as staged as All Access not to mention the whole "I called Manny Pacquiao and offered him $40 million." Only Floyd-worshipers bought that BS. Arum tried to make the fight in good faith in the beginning, but Floyd never intended to make a fight where he couldn't control every stipulation of the fight. Same reason that Floyd "retired" before the De La Hoya rematch.Comment

Come on bruh, you know floydie made maidana wear pillows for gloves. He fought Guererro and Canelo. Before you diss Guererro, lets see what Roach has to say about Guererro:
January 9, 2014:
"There's a couple of other guys out there right now that I'm thinking about that are free agents. You look at Mayweather's last like four fights and so forth, if we can fight one of those guys that he went the distance with and knock that person out and be impressive, it puts us even closer to Mayweather because that's the fight we really want eventually," stated world-class trainer Freddie Roach, who discussed his preference of opponents for Manny Pacquiao when he makes his anticipated return to the ring on April 12 the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada...
"[Robert] Guerrero has sparred with Manny many times and he thinks he gets the best of Manny. He's made that public before that he used to beat Manny up in sparring. I see it a different way, but I would love that fight and I think it's a great fight.
Same ploy today. Diss the fighter Floyd beat, while you're fighting someone who is a weaker opponent. Let's diss Maidana, the WBA welterweight champion with mad KOs, while we fight Chris Algeri from Paramount Theatre.
If Khan beats Thurman, I would love to see Floyd choose him over Pacquiao. Like I said, Marquez deserves a shot at Floyd more than Manny. He's not disrespectful, and he knocked Manny the **** out on top of that.Comment

Pac said after Marg he wasnt going beyond 147, his 7th division, 10 above his starting. Its Cotto who first wanted a CW, just like he demanded of one eyed Marg:
WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto is counting the numbers on the check. Puerto Rico's biggest star told Raul Alzaga that his final decision, regarding his next opponent, will be determined by money. Cotto and members of his team are evaluating two possible scenarios - a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 5th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, or a rematch with Manny Pacquiao on June 9th - also in Las Vegas.
Then changed his mind when Pac offered
Btw its hilarious Floyd will fight blown up Cotto at 154, but need a CW against a genuine SWW, in only his 5th divisionComment
