I say don't get offended at that TBE thing, like I said the guy is near 40 years old, he needs whatever motivation he can get at this point. I remember Mosley ducking Floyd in 2006, after he beat Fernando Vargas he was asked about meeting Floyd and he brushed it off saying his tooth was hurting, but nobody talks about this. I also remember Floyd calling out Oscar when he was in his full prime and Bob Arum brushing it off not wanting to risk the Golden Boy. These are things nobody wants to talk about. He beat Mosley after Shane destroyed the "boogeyman" at the time, Margarito. After this win nobody wanted to fight Shane, not even Pacquiao, I remember Freddie Roach blatantly ducking the Shane fight, another thing nobody talks about. So for Floyd to whoop Shane after one of his biggest wins does deserve some credit.

As far as Marquez, they asked him what he thought about a rematch with Floyd after he got settled into the division and he said "for what, you saw what happened."

Funny, when he fought Floyd, Canelo took no risks.

The same judah that lost to baldomir? Like I said though, his heart/determination is what killed him in his high profile fights, that is not a elite charasteristic.

Who did this "boogeyman" beat to get that top recognition? The answer to that, is the reason why floyd retired after his hatton fight.

One thing I will say about Floyd/Maidana II is that there were times in the fight where Floyd should've pressed the action and put his punches together. He hurt Maidana a few times to the body and it looked like he could land some meaningful shots but he chose not to engage further. I was disappointed in that aspect. Floyd could've had more dominant rounds if he had been more aggressive in spots.

As far as the May and September dates, there's no way they will do two PPV's on the same date. That is a terrible proposition from a business standpoint. Someone will have to move off of that date or both PPV's will put up disappointing numbers.

Margarito got that tag simply because of his chin, constant punching and the win vs Cotto (which is in debate since we don't know if he was dirty). But why should this matter, Mosley completely annihilated him, taking the "boogeyman" tag away, and Shane became the feared fighter of the time. Berto was the only one who stepped up, but the earthquake in Haiti made him back out, so Floyd stepped in and took the fight. He beat the man who beat the man, that's a solid legit victory in my book. Now when Shane fought Manny it's a different story since he was coming off a draw vs Sergio Mora, clearly not the same fighter who trampled through Margarito. I'm just saying people shouldn't look for ways to discredit Floyd's wins simply because they dislike his "Money" persona. He always takes on guys coming off huge wins or who are current champions.

You're right. Floyd's win over Judah didn't do much for his resume because he was coming off the loss to Baldomir. But, I'm sure you also take issue with Floyd's next fight, which was Baldomir. That's where me and folks like you part ways on the argument.

Baldomir, B+ fighter at best, but since he beat judah at the time he had the belts that floyd wanted I guess lol

Cotto was under Top Rank (we already know the story there) and I don't remember ever hearing him call Floyd out. Margarito crushed him and Clottey was arguably robbed, I doubt Floyd "ducked" him. As soon as he left Arum he got the Floyd fight, and this was not a ''cherry pick" since Miguel was coming off the most satisfying win of his career in the Margarito rematch and also a victory over Mayorga. Once Arum left the picture, the fight happened. And why do you keep mentioning Floyd retiring, it was short lived, he returned and kept dominating.
