Once Arum left the picture, the fight happened. And why do you keep mentioning Floyd retiring, it was short lived, he returned and kept dominating.
Because that's all he has. He acts like by the time Floyd came back all the competition had died.

You had your chance against Mayweather and got taken TO SCHOOL...SHUT UP! RISK? At Almost 40? WTF are some of you talking about, I know many at a desperation point to see Mayweather lose but it is not his JOB to make it easier for his opponents to take is 0 from his record

If your truly that good you gameplan for all of Mayweather tactics and you GO BEAT HIM, but sadly this ERA a lot of these guys are NOT THAT GOOD, they all HYPE and when they get in with fighters with SKILLS they look like the HYPE JOB they are

Tired of the crying, b1tching and complaining and younger fighters and their **** fans wanting things in boxing to Change so it can benefit them, this sport been here before you and it will be here after you, that goes for Mayweather, Pacquiao or WHO EVER. Shut the *** up and fight, don't cry about someone style, do what Froch did to Groves, CUT THE RING OFF AND LEAVE YOUR OPPONENT LAID OUT! If you can't do that then guess what...YOU'RE NOT THAT GOOD!
Thank you. I have been saying this for years. I hate when people say a fighter won because he ran. Ran? Where did he run to? Did he run out of the ring? Out of the arena? No. Dont be upset because the fighter you are pulling cannot effectively cut off the ring.
A fighter will only do what you allow him to do. Period.

Floyd has been on that "don't do business with Arum" crap since he dumped him as a promoter in 2006. Arum has also been on that "don't do business with Floyd" crap after being dumped and sued by his former cash cow. Don't just zero in on Floyd, you ignore the fact Arum doesn't want to work with Mayweather either. But you can't explain how is it that once Arum is out of the picture, Cotto gets the Floyd fight with no issues whatsoever, please break that down for me.

Because in the words of Floyd, someone laid down the "blueprint to beat Cotto." Cotto had a lot taken out of him from getting beat down by glove-covered bricks. Then Pacquiao beat him. At that point, Floyd saw him as less of a threat. Cotto is a small jr. middleweight, more of a blown up welterweight but Floyd fans believe everything he said with that "fighting Cotto at his comfortable weight" garbage.

So why did he bother to negotiate with pacquiao and arum after 2009? Interesting.

But why should this matter, Mosley completely annihilated him, taking the "boogeyman" tag away, and Shane became the feared fighter of the time. Berto was the only one who stepped up, but the earthquake in Haiti made him back out, so Floyd stepped in and took the fight. He beat the man who beat the man, that's a solid legit victory in my book. Now when Shane fought Manny it's a different story since he was coming off a draw vs Sergio Mora, clearly not the same fighter who trampled through Margarito. I'm just saying people shouldn't look for ways to discredit Floyd's wins simply because they dislike his "Money" persona. He always takes on guys coming off huge wins or who are current champions.
while I agree with a lot you said, the last part is wrong. Judah lost to Baldomir then Floyd fight Judah right after. Judah has been a decent fighter never great or elite.

Funny thing is there is a video of floyd explaining himself after being asked that if he is so convinced that pacquiao is juicing that he'll never fight him. His biggest excuse there was that "pacquiao walked through cotto" and "cotto couldn't knock mosley down, but pacquiao could?", but to the floytards that has nothing to do with the testing floyd wanted to get done, something that he has never asked of his previous fights, the only one being mosley cuz of failed ped testing.

A fight with Cotto never got negotiated til after Cotto left Top Rank officially. Fact. And Cotto walks around in the 170s (Roach even said he came at that weight for training camp for Rodriguez). He just trims down to 154 lbs. Cotto cannot make 147 lbs. He doesn't even have great stamina at 154 lbs.
