I heard that the real reason for the firing was due to Floyds disastrous cnn interview where he was grilled about his domestic violence past and his defense of Ray Rice. Supposedly Ellerbe didn't pre approve of the questions that they were able to ask Floyd ahead of time and it led to a p.r disaster for Floyd.
