Did you guys miss the link I posted

At 18:45 http://********/Iv9iE4W0OzA the reporter asks Maidana if he would consider fighting Lucas if he moved up in weight.

    Without hesitation he says "no"

You cannot justify them not fighting each other because you're a huge fan of one, or both.

If you took the humble route of "I really like these two guy man, I don't want them to fight each other." Then you can get a pass.

Making excuses for them not fighting will get you nowhere. Just digging yourself deeper into a hole.

agreed-but posters said they should fight despite that. That's the difference. My guess is most feel the same about matts and maidana.

Yeah and if another boxer had said that about Maidana or Matthysse, they'd be labelled cowards, ducks, frauds etc by their fans.

People here are rather after upside downs in terms of common sense... To draw some attention.

I have no opinion one way or the other. I like Lucas and Maidana but I'm not wild about them.

I was just answering the question

Maidana-Matthysse is a good fight, I won't say great because I don't think Matthysse belongs at 147 or anywhere higher than 140 tbh.

They're clearly not keen on it and given Maidana's Broner option and his talk of retirement, it's hard to see it happening.

I agree, the best answer is simple: they don't want to fight, which would mean that if people know this they obviously won't press the issue.

                  That's an acceptable reason.

It doesn't make sense, etc. I'm not hearing that ****.

And I would love to see them fight, if they truly were up to it.

Because we want them to beat down everybody else and then taste defeat by a boxer of our choosing HAHAHA! (in my evil laugh)

that's why I said next year-when one is about to retire they make it so both get a nice fat payday.
