What do you mean it makes no sense? What about the sense it makes that they are both good action packed fighters and should make for a good fight. They both are around the same weight, from the same country, see who's the top dog...

maidana said it in an interview in argentina recently, lucas say something like they both should do their own path and if they have to fight, they would do it but at the end of their careers, i don't remember very well, and there is no bad blood between them like for example brook/khan
